Our client is an international fashion value retailer, selling predominantly for cash. Their business model is synonymous with offering fashionable merchandise at excellent value. They are looking for two experienced Retail Shop Managers to manage their Nairobi Store.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
• Ensures availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts; maintaining inventories.
• Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.
• Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
• Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures.
• Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
• Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.

Requirements

• Must be over 35 yrs old
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in retail business and 2 yrs in senior positions
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Professional and pro active
• Good at computing and basic applications as office and point of sale systems
• Very good at customer service and problem solving.
• Must have very good product and stores management skills
• Goal oriented person and be a HANDS on person.
• Basic marketing skills required.
• Extrovert qualities a bonus.
