Our client is a non-profit organization based in Nairobi, Kenya and is renowned globally for its efforts in combating urban poverty and gender inequity in the slums of Nairobi. Our client's four initiative areas / programs include education, health, economic and community empowerment, and water and sanitation. In order to strengthen the management team, our client is seeking to recruit suitably qualified Kenyans to fill the following exciting and challenging positions in its Nairobi operations.

Chief Financial Officer

 Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will take the lead in reviewing policies, practices and planning needed to ensure that the organization secures, manages and reports about its finances and assets to support the organization's effective operation.

Key Responsibilities

 • Managing and integrating both US and Kenyan Financials and ensuring compliance in both countries;

• Manage the investment of cash assets;

• Manage operations across sites, including Operations, HR, Finance, IT, Procurement and Inventory, major construction projects; and

 • Serve as a member of the organization's Senior Leadership team contributing to strategy, policy and organizational practices.

Personal Specifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or Finance or other related field;
•  Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including a leadership position managing the finances, operations and administration of a mid-sized to high growth organizations; and
• Fluency with both US 501c3 non-profit accounting standards, as well as Kenyan financial standards.
