Marketing Manager

Two Rivers Mall, East Africa’s largest Lifestyle Center is home to over 180 retail stores; offering a great blend of local and international experiences. A world class destination integrating commercial, entertainment, lifestyle and hospitality facilities, Two Rivers is the first of its kind in the Sub-Saharan region.

The mission of the Marketing Manager is to develop and drive successful execution of the Marketing strategy for Two Rivers Mall; and ensure that all marketing initiatives have a tangible return outcome.

The role holder shall be responsible for formulation and delivery of tactical marketing programs, activities and a calendar of events that will drive footfall, occupancy and the brand of the Center. He/she will optimally manage the demarcated marketing budget to achieve the set sales, occupancy and revenue targets.

Marketing Manager Job Responsibilities

  • Within the first 10 days, the role holder shall review and refine the current Marketing strategy for the mall, the marketing programs as well as the calendar of events and develop a robust and elaborate marketing strategy that is befitting of the destination; with clear and lucrative month on month marketing initiatives;
  • Within the first 15 days, the role holder shall review the existing structure for the marketing team and make recommendations for a feasible structure that will be pivotal in the execution of the established strategy;
  • Within the first 20 days, the role holder shall develop and commence the implementation of a viable strategy and a stream of channels for driving the generation of the non GLA income;
  • Within the first month, the marketing manager shall be responsible for growing the footfall of the Center against the set targets; through the various marketing programs and events;
  • The role holder shall provide oversight to the Social media initiatives of the Center; with the responsibility of managing the content, engagement with customers and driving the growth on the various platforms;
  • The role holder shall manage and ensure successful launch of the events and activations at the Center as per the developed plan:
  • The role holder shall oversee the management of key stakeholders; develop and maintain close relationships with the media, colleagues, retailers, service providers, suppliers, community leaders, agencies and governing bodies.

Requirements for the Marketing Manager Job

  • Tangible marketing experience in a sizeable shopping Center or Destination
  • An exceptional performer with a track record of delivering tangible return outcomes through marketing initiatives within a retail environment
  • An innovative and creative individual with ability to think outside the norm to achieve exceptional outcomes in the face of competition
  • Excellent understanding of the demographics and trends of the market and ability to translate that into feasible marketing solutions.
  • Tangible experience in retail analytics
  • Personable individual and excellent communicator who can build close and effective working relationships with all stakeholders
  • An effective and ethical leader with proven ability to build, retain and lead successful teams
