Description We seek to hire experienced Research Associates to work on part time basis. Details Eider Africa Limited is a well-established consultancy and research firm. We offer financial advice, research and consultancy services. Requirements A First degree in Social sciences, Economics, Environment, Public health, Gender and Community Development. Minimum 1 years relevant work experience in research Competency and experience in mixed methods research. Competence and experience in quantitative analysis, demonstrated in appropriate written outputs such as consultancy reports, journal articles, conference papers, working papers. Applied knowledge of designing quantitative analytical studies and utilizing analytical studies. Competency in generating technical proposals, financial proposals and inception reports. Proven experience in conducting different types of studies e.g. Situation analysis, Needs and Resource Assessments, Baseline, Mid and End term evaluations etc. Proven experience in database management and analysis of large datasets to answer analytical questions. Experience in designing and implementing qualitative studies. Experience in conducting literature searches, analysis and writing professional papers. Exposure to working in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams in a developing country setting. Proficiency in using MS Office, MS excel and statistical packages such as STATA, SPSS , Atlas ti etc. Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality analytical and policy documents and related correspondence. Excellent report writing skills and analytical acumen. Demonstrated ability to synthesize a large body of knowledge into simple, easy to understand papers and policy briefs; Demonstrated good organizational skills and ability to work with minimum supervision. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional contacts, and to interact with national officials and experts, other researchers, international organizations, development partners, and other stakeholders. Terms of Appointment The position is need based, contract is renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of assignment.
