Chief Curriculum Development Officer – Electrical& Electronic Engineering

The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) is established through the KICD Act No. 4 of 2013 of the laws of Kenya.
The Institute’s core function is to conduct research and develop curricular for all levels of education below the university.

1. Chief Curriculum Development Officer – Electrical& Electronic Engineering

The Chief Curriculum Development Officer – Electrical& Electronic engineering will report to the Deputy Director, TVET

a) Duties and responsibilities

1. Initiate and participate in Electrical& Electronic engineering curriculum orientation activities;
2. Participate in evaluation of Electrical& Electronic Engineering curriculum and curriculum support materials;
3. Participate in research, monitoring and evaluation activities on Technical &
Engineering curriculum and its implementation;
4. Coordinate activities of Electrical& Electronic Engineering and course panels; and
5. Initiate and participate in the Analysis of national examination of Electrical & Electronic Engineering.

b) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to the grade an applicant must have:

(i) Bachelors’ degree in Science major Subject Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
(ii) Masters Degree in Science in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field from a recognized University/ Institution;
(iii) Served as a Senior Curriculum Development Officer KICD 10 or in a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years;
(iv) Demonstrated professional competence in curriculum development in Electrical & Electronic Engineering; and
(v) Proficiency in computer use and application
